5 TIPS OF THINGS TO DO BEFORE 2017/2018 UTME.

As we discussed earlier in JAMB INSIGHT(I) about some changes in JAMB UTME.
Here are 5 tips of things you need to do as JAMB candidate.
ALWAYS GET INFORMATIONS.
As a candidate you seriously need information 24/7. It is obvious that some candidates also missed securing admission because of lack of information.
I know of a boy who missed his exam because he did not know when JAMB exam started and he would have his exam the first day. This was not a good news to the parents. In this computer age, you can get access to informations with your mobile phone. Make sure you always search read information about JAMB and your school of your interest.

GET COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE.
JAMB UTME is now computer base( not optional). If you are preparing to write 2017/2018 UTME, it’s advisable you equip yourself with knowledge about how to operate computer such as
How to hold mouse.
How to type on keyboard.
How to interact with the monitor and boost your speed in using computer.
Also practice computer base tests if you are not use to it.

BE PREPARED EARLY ENOUGH.
You don’t have to wait tell the examination month before preparing for your exam. Prepare early enough, remember, proper preparation prevent poor performance (5P’s)

PARTAKE IN THE MOCK EXAMINATION( OPTIONAL)
Writing mock exams gives you room to make adequate preparation to the main examination.

GO WITH JAMB 2017/2018 GUIDELINES.
Get JAMB brochure to know your course subject combination and other requirements.
Study with JAMB syllabus and past questions( if possible )
Understand the process of registration, do not rely on someone doing everything for you, try to know every steps in the registration.

A MUST READ FOR EVERY JAMB CANDIDATE. You will agree with me that there are lots of changes in Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and these changes continue in subsequent years ahead. If you recall the changes that took place in 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 JAMB UTME, in 2015/2016 UTME, JAMB made some changes that led to massive failure and lots of candidates missed their chances of admission into higher institutions in Nigeria. During that period JAMB pegged cut off mark at 180 for universities, polytechnics and colleges, candidate with UTME score 170s hoping to be considered in polytechnics and college of education lost the chance because of those changes made by JAMB that year.
