Africa's Richest Man Builds $3.5 Million Business School In Nigeria  Africa’s richest man,   Aliko Dangote , has donated a $3.5 million building to the Bayero University, Kano in northern Nigeria. The building, which is named after the Nigerian billionaire, will be the premises of the newly established Dangote Business School. Speaking at the school’s opening ceremony which was attended by the Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Dangote told guests that the school was part of his contributions towards driving entrepreneurship education at the highest level in Nigeria. The Dangote Business School has been accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), and will be first business school in Nigeria to offer the Doctor of Business Administration (PhD) programme in the country. Nigerian govt launches 2017/2018 annual school census February 13, 2018 Agency Report The Minister of education, Adamu Adamu. The Ministry of Education on Tuesday launched the 2017/2018 Annual School Census, aimed at solving the problem of out-of-school children. The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, said at the ceremony in Abuja that the census was designed to obtain the accurate number of schools and validate the figures. The theme of the launch is “Making Every Learner’s Environment Count: A Panacea for the Dearth of Empirical Education Data and as a way of solving the problem of out-of-school Children Syndrome in Nigeria”. Indeed they have been on strike since December 4 last year over what they termed Government’s failure to pay their earned allowances. 2018 JAMB MOCK EXAMINATION DATE

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Sunday said the much anticipated conduct of the 2018 mock unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) would now hold on Feb.26. JAMB-CBT-Centre The boards Head, Media and Information,Dr Fabian Benjamin said this in an interview in Lagos. NEWSNigerian government renames Federal University Ebonyi after Ekwueme

The Federal Government has renamed Federal University Ndufu Alike, in Ebonyi State, to Alex Ekwueme Federal University. Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, made the announcement on Friday, during the funeral service of the late elder statesman, Dr Alex Ekwueme. Family, friends, and well-wishers – including government officials among other dignitaries were present at the event which is ongoing in his hometown in Oko, Anambra State. Former President, Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Mrs Patience, as well as former Vice President, Namadi Sambo are among those present at the event. Other state governors in attendance included: Willie Obiano (Anambra), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), and Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos) among others.
